Vacancy for a Project Assistant

HuFoSS is seeking an enthusiastic project assistant for the coming months, until August 2026, to participate in two international EU projects, MarineSABRES and MARBEFES. Within these projects, HuFoSS will conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders in European coastal areas. The goal is to work with scientists and stakeholders to find a balance between a healthy ecosystem, socio-cultural cohesion among coastal residents, and the economic services that can be obtained sustainably in these coastal areas. Many of the interviews and workshops will take place abroad on location, from Spitsbergen to the Azores, from the North Cape to Crete, requiring frequent trips away from home, sometimes for one and a half to two weeks at a time.

We are seeking a project assistant who will:
– assist with scheduling interviews and workshops,
– participate in international activities, including creating presentations and photo and video footage for these activities. Because you will be collaborating extensively with other international project participants and external stakeholders, social skills are essential.
– prepare minutes of workshops and meetings,
– assist in storing and processing acquired data and documentation,
– assist in upcoming general tasks.

The required educational level is MBO+ or HBO (higher professional education). The salary ranges from €2,767 to €3,795 per month for a full-time position, depending on experience and education. An 8% holiday allowance is included. HuFoSS is affiliated with the ABP pension fund.
The appointment is effective December 2025.
The work will be based in Roosendaal. Remote work in periods outside international travel is not possible. Proficiency in Dutch, along with English, is a prerequisite.
